Bikini Friday

This Bikini Friday is kind of half bikini and half bikini contest with clothing similar to a bikini. It doesn’t really matter too much about the clothing surrounding the bellybutton. The most important aspect of Bikini Friday is the bellybuttons. And there is no shortage of bellybuttons here!

Hump Day Handstand

Date: May 16, 2012 at 8:00 pm- by Buttonist- Posted in Hump Day Handstand and tagged , , - Comment(s): 0

Hump Day Handstand rears its head once again for another round of handstand bellybutton flashing. We had trouble finding new images for a week or two but we are back! There are some interesting shots in this batch, including a handstand kiss where the bottom kisser is almost able to play with the handstand kisser’s bellybutton. Let’s hope the bellybuttons and handstands keep flowing as the weather gets nicer and more people may be inclined to do athletic activities.

Prom Bellybuttons

Date: May 14, 2012 at 11:06 pm- by Buttonist- Posted in External Articles, Links and tagged , , - Comment(s): 1

A web search for the word “bellybutton” often leads to some interesting articles. We recently stumbled upon a small handful of articles talking about prom dresses that reveal the bellybutton.

The fashion world apparently considers it distasteful to show one’s bellybutton at prom. We don’t claim to be fashionistas, fashion experts, or even fashion critics. That being said, we’re still confused as to why celebrities can bare their bellybuttons at red carpet events but teens are considered “tacky” if they wear the same kinds of dresses at prom. For example, look at this excerpt from an article found at http://www.thefashionpolice.net/2009/03/ugly-prom-dress-alert-the-belly-button-dress.html:

“Now, it’s our contention that belly buttons have no place at prom. None at all. This dress, however, makes the belly button the centrepiece of the whole outfit, ringing it with rhinestones as if to say “Look! A belly button! Betchya never saw one of these bad boys before!” Yes, it’s all about the bellybutton here, and the overall effect is to make the model look like she needed emergency keyhole surgery, and the surgeon didn’t have time to remove the dress first.”

Truth be told, we’re pretty excited to hear that there are dresses that make the bellybutton the centerpiece of an outfit. It’s about time! These aren’t Victorian times anymore.

The bashing didn’t end there though. More bellybutton baring dresses were put down at:

http://www.thefashionpolice.net/2009/01/ugly-prom-dre-2.html
http://www.thefashionpolice.net/2008/05/ugly-prom-dr-22.html
http://www.thefashionpolice.net/2008/06/ugly-prom-dr-12.html

Okay, okay, so we agree with the article about the pregnant belly baring prom dress. It doesn’t do it for us…on anyone…at any age…anywhere.

But what about the “belly dancer” style in the second link above? Here’s what the fashion police had to say:

“And when it comes to formal wear, we’d suggest that the “flash your boobs OR your legs, not both” rule should be expanded to include the line “and flash your belly button never.” Who’s with us?”

We are most definitely NOT with you! Why is it safe to flash boobs or legs but not a little stomach? There is nothing profane here. While we might agree that all three at once may be a little too revealing, we certainly aren’t against some bellybutton with our formal wear.

The fashion police aren’t the only crew out there who have a hatred for bellybuttons though. Fashionista devotes the first three pages of their “10 Prom Trends that Need to Die” article to hating on navels. Take a look:

http://fashionista.com/2012/04/from-cut-outs-to-decorative-canes-10-prom-trends-that-need-to-die/
http://fashionista.com/2012/04/from-cut-outs-to-decorative-canes-10-prom-trends-that-need-to-die/2/
http://fashionista.com/2012/04/from-cut-outs-to-decorative-canes-10-prom-trends-that-need-to-die/3/

“We particularly enjoy the middle gown that has a bedazzled peek-a-boo slit for the belly button.”

We particularly enjoy the bedazzled peek-a-boo slit for the bellybutton, too! And we actually mean it.

In all seriousness, we do understand what these articles are getting at. The problem is that they just aren’t very good at saying it. The points they are attempting to make are almost irrelevant in this day and age. Prom is a formal event that exists for the sake of existing. 99% of the kids that attend prom will never attend another formal event in their lifetime. Of those that have more to attend, they will probably do it as a celebrity where it is appropriate to show a little bit of bellybutton. But for the average kid, the bellybutton is still kind of taboo and represents a brand of sexuality. Prom is all about sex though. All you have to do is watch a movie or TV show to hear people talk about what everybody already knows prom is about. At an event where you are trying to dress up sexuality, is a bellybutton really off limits? Shouldn’t parents and fashion police also be more worried about bikinis and crop tops then?

Additional Thoughts:

Does anybody remember the bellybutton revealing dress that Kellie Pickler wore a few years ago? People make a big deal about it…and then got over it. Check it out.

If you are interested in showing your bellybutton at prom we think Panoply make some beautiful bellybutton dresses:

Yahoo! Answers has a number of threads where girls ask advice for good bellybutton revealing dresses. It’s amazing quick people are to be mean and sling some mud. It’s good to see that at least a few belly lovers are represented though.

At least the girl in this thread revealed that she had designed a dress to show her bellybutton and some people responded positively, even going as far as to say they were jealous of her.

Happy Mother’s Day 2012

Date: May 14, 2012 at 12:20 am- by Buttonist- Posted in Holidays and tagged , - Comment(s): 0

The bellybutton is one very unique connection to our mothers that every person in the world shares. Whether your bellybutton has been pierced, modified, removed, changed, or just remained the same, we all start out being connected to our mothers through a cord in their wombs. What’s even more unique is that our mother’s own bellybutton often undergoes a transformation as our future bellybutton is being formed inside her. You may not love your own mother, but on this day you can at least appreciate that your favorite bellybutton in this world was partially given to him or her by his or her mother. Happy Mother’s Day! Spread some bellybutton love on this day!

Bikini Friday

After a long week of talking future plans, creating content, and doing every other thing imaginable, it’s great to return to the time-honored tradition that is Bikini Friday. It is the one guaranteed time we take every week to make sure that beautiful bellybuttons are exposed by increasingly small sections of fabric. Summer is upon us and we may soon be taking to the beach to shoot our own bellybutton pictures for Bikini Friday. It is also the time that many of you will be baring your own navels at the beach, pool, or other outdoor event. Long live the bikini and the bellybuttons it shows!

Murph’s Video Roundup

Hi, there. It’s Murph with some 411 on really sexy belly videos.

The poking videos, regardless of who’s doing the poking, are great. when I’m not watching belly poking videos, I’m probably watching belly dancing videos.

Belly dancers have demonstrated the seductive move known as the belly roll… and a number of them show their fantastic results for the rest of us to see online.

One YouTuber named ttownguy65 has posted these, and other, compilations of belly rolls. Most of the following are by other YouTube users…

…one of the ladies you’ve seen posted this belly roll video… she thought it was too dark…. but I’m not complaining…

So, ladies, does this inspire you to try and roll your own belly? QueenCassie provides this tutorial.

QueenCassie recommends patience and practice when trying the belly roll.

One more thing. In an interview with WCAV in Virginia…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_SA-9xRBAo (Embedding is disabled for this one, sorry guys!)

A belly dance instructor says the belly roll can help stimulate your GI tract. Zelnorm, a GI medication famous for its belly-baring TV commercials, is long gone after some controversy. So, why not turn to this seductive exercise?

We’re looking for some people to sign on to some future projects. There could be potential for profit for both you and us. The goal of these projects isn’t to make profit but we realize that people need paid for their time and efforts. If you’re interested, read on.

We’re actually not going to reveal too many details about the projects because some of them are innovative…and we’d like to keep it that way. The fact is, we don’t have all the talent needed to complete these things on our team. Here is a brief list of things we’re looking for:

  • Models, wannabe models, or photographers who have access to people who don’t mind doing modeling assignments
  • Artists – traditional or digital
  • Writers of all types
  • Video producers
  • Anything else creative that you can pitch to us

You don’t need to be a professional in any of these things. All you need is to be willing. You might have to sign some legal forms too just to make sure we have everything squared away.

Exclusive Interview Series – Meow

Please note that this is an old interview. Meow had some problems at her forum and asked us to take it down for a time. Hopefully the article is here to stay now that she has allowed us to put it back.

This week we took the opportunity to sit down and talk with a well-known community member, Meow. Meow is best known for her role as an administrator at Navelicious. We have had a relationship with Meow since we first revamped out site and we’re glad to have a chance to add her interview to our series.

OBF: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself, how you got into bellybuttons, and what you do in the bellybutton community?

Meow: My place in the community is next to everyone else in the community. I don’t consider myself as different to the “others”. I got into the whole bellybutton theme about 5 years ago when I joined a bellybutton beauty competition. At the moment, I’m one of the admins of http://navelicious1.userboard.org.

OBF: I remember hearing before on a forum or something that you had been in a bellybutton beauty competition. Can you tell us more about that? Was it a large competition? Did a lot of people attend? How did you find out about it and why did you decide to enter?

Meow: It was on an Internet page where you could send in pictures or videos of your bellybutton. There was a competition for the males and one for the females. I don’t remember exactly but I would guess each group had about 150-200 participants. So not very large I guess. I found out about it randomly looking around google and stuff and stumbled across the page. I thought it was interesting and sent some photos in.

OBF: That’s really cool. I was hoping it was a real life competition in a shopping mall or something though. Did you win or get a place in the competition? Were you looking for bellybutton stuff when you stumbled on the competition?

Meow: I was 1st place and got 25€ and a winner certificate. I was searching google for piercing shops.

OBF: That’s awesome. Congratulations – even if it is 5 years too late.

What’s your actual interest level in bellybuttons? Would you classify it as a full-blown bellybutton fetish, a passing interest, or somewhere in between. I’ve seen your posts on a few forums now and I’ve never really gotten the feeling that you have a bellybutton fetish. Obviously something keeps you coming back and contributing though. What is it about bellybuttons that interests you?

Meow: What determines a fetish? And what is a “full blown bellybutton fetish”?

The best answer I can give you is: Would I run a board if I would only be a “bit” interested? If I only would be interested to show off pictures of my own belly, I could do that on the other boards out there or youtube or somewhere else.

Others who are “into” it – sharing their experiences, how they stimulate themself for example – I’m just not the kind of person who likes to share her private life with the Internet that much. I am interested, I am into it and I guess I have some sorts of activities with my bellybutton from time to time, too.

OBF: Fair enough.

I would probably say that a fetish is to the point where bellybuttons, bellybutton play, etc. are the primary way that a person is sexually stimulated. Full blown would be like you spend your whole day or a large part of your day looking to experience things involving bellybuttons, searching for pictures, playing with your own, playing with others, etc.

I think your answer makes sense.

What made you want to become a forum administrator? Do you enjoy being an admin?

Meow: I never liked the idea of a forum where people who don’t want to take part can see the whole content. As I didn’t know any bellybutton forum where only active members can see the content of other users, we decided to make our own board. The people who want to take part of it, get full access. The people who only want to look around can do that, too. But they dont have access to the pictures, videos, stories and stuff. If they decide to take part someday, they can start posting on the “Discussion” sections of the board, to get full access later. I think we have found a good compromise for the members.

OBF: So you think your system works well then? It doesn’t seem like anybody is unhappy on your forum, which is always a good thing. Do you think you have gotten more people to contribute than other forums have in the past?

Meow: I think the system works. The active members are giving feedback to us and we only get positive feedback about it. For the non-posters I don’t know what they think about it. We never get feedback from them. But I guess they dont like the fact that the concept is “give and receive”.

We have a few users that stated they were on various other boards before, where they never posted. On our board they deciced to take an active part in it. I can’t tell if its because of the fact they can’t see everything if they’re not active or if they just, well, decided to have fun with people that share the same interest. But overall I don’t think we “got” more users to contribute with our method than on other boards. But we have a bit, only a bit, more privacy for people that want to post pictures of their own bellybutton or other content like private stories. Maybe it results in more happy active users but more sad non-active users. But there is never a way to make everyone happy, nowhere in life.

OBF: You’re totally right. It is very hard to satisfy everyone. The people who appreciate you make it worth doing though.

I have to ask. You probably can’t answer but I still have to ask. What is the new project with the Android character who has a bellybutton? Are we going to see a bellybutton game app from you guys? I’ve been dying to know.

Meow: Sorry, but I don’t want to tell much about it right now. I can only tell that nobody has done that before and I think the fellow bellybutton fetishists will appreciate it. It will help the user of that app, it will help the community and it will even help the people who dont have an android phone.

As Georg Broussard said: “When it’s done.”

OBF: That’s okay. I didn’t expect you to be able to talk about it.

Do you have any kind of idea about when we might get to see what it is? Will the release be much longer?

Meow: I would like to tell you a time but I don’t know it for myself. The other admin of Navelicious (Matrixcrash02) is a software programmer who is making the app beside his full time job. So it depends on his spare time he is willing to spend on making it. And I’m not going to hurry him or anything like that. But as some people don’t understand, we haven’t unlimited spare time. We both have full time jobs and other private things we have to take care of first. The board is just the second banana. We do our best but private life goes first.

OBF: No problem. Can’t hurt to ask. Real life is definitely more important. We are all excited to see what is coming. We’ll definitely post about it when it finally does come.

How long do you think you will continue to be an admin. Some forums have gone on for 5 or more years. Do you think you will do this that long, or longer? Will you and Matrixcrash02 keep selecting new administrators to take your place so your forum can continue? Do you have any other interesting future plans that you can talk about?

Meow: At the moment we’re not looking for other administrators. For my person, I’ll run it as long I can. If there’s some point where it’s not possible for me to run it anymore, there’s still Matrixcrash02. If he would quit the board tomorrow, I would run it alone. I wouldn’t look around to quickly find another admin beside me. If someone comes around where I think he/she would be a good admin, I would talk about it with him/her. But at the moment it’s nothing we/I think about.

Sure it could happen that the board gets closed because of copyright protection or something. You can never know what happens tomorrow. But we take good care to remove content that’s copyright protected or anything else thats not fine. We do our best that the board lives as long as possible.

For the future we dont really have plans at the moment.

OBF: We hope your forum lasts a long time. It seems like you have good people.

Is there anything else you’d like to talk about? Do you have any questions for us? We always like to make the discussion a two way street in these interviews.

Meow: I would like to say something to the readers.

Don’t be shy, start talking with people that share the same interests like you. It doesn’t matter if you do it on Navelicious, tummiesandnavels, Nombrilla or anywhere else. Show your bellybutton to the others, there’s nothing to be ashamed off. You expose your bellybutton every single time when you’re on the beach, so 1 or 2 photos will not harm you. Many people will enjoy your work. If everyone would just look at other people’s stuff without contributing something by him/herself there would be nothing to look at. Think about it. Your bellybutton could make 10 other people to show off their bellybuttons, too.

OBF: I couldn’t agree with you more! I especially like what you said about the beach. Nobody here thinks twice about showing his/her stomach at the beach. Share your bellybutton on whatever site or forum you are active on.

Thanks Meow. I enjoyed talking with you. Thanks for giving me some of your time.

Meow: Thanks for the interview. I hope it wasn’t too boring for you :)

OBF: No, not at all. I enjoyed talking with you.

Meow: Okay thank you.
That wraps up this interview. If you haven’t seen the link in our links section or anywhere else on the site, be sure to visit, join, and contribute at Meow’s forum, Navelicious – http://navelicious1.userboard.org

We have arrived at the end of another busy week. It’s time for some bikini bellybuttons. This edition of Bikini Friday exposes female bellybuttons in all the ways you have come to expect and love. As always, enjoy the bellybuttons!

Hump Day Handstand

Due to the relative scarcity of pictures that feature a female, a handstand, and an exposed bellybutton, we may have to feature less Hump Day Handstand posts. We’re going out with a bang and sharing a bunch of bare bellybuttons if that is the case. Today’s batch of handstand bellybuttons is larger than normal and may be the last for a few weeks. If you would like to attempt to perform a handstand and bare your navel at the same time, please do share with us. We will feature your attempt.
